As you can see from this picture of the sunken Luzeiro XXI, the Luzeiro Medical Missionary Boats went dead in the water about 1998.  All those villages, that can only be reached by boat, who had come to the Adventist faith because of the work of the Halliwells, are no longer being serviced with Pastoral and medical support.

Now with that said, the ADRA Organization of Manaus has launched the Luzeiro XXVI in 2010. However, one boat cannot reach all those villages.  My dream is to help create more medical missionary boats like the Luzeiros. However funding is a challenge.  Would you like to help support medical missionary boats to the Amazon region of Brazil? Contact me, Kim Hess, via the form below and let's talk.
