TEAM = Together Everyone Accomplishes Much "Thank you TEAM!"
For Project Amazon 2015 our main focus was on evangelism. The plan was to also have a group build Sabbath School classrooms for one or two churches in Novo Airao. However due to my health taking a bad turn, the fundraising and recruiting didn't happen. But through it all, God led and made it possible for two evangelistic series to be held, one in Manaus and one in Novo Airao. Herb Montgomery, with Renewed Heart Ministries, accepted the challenge and Steve Darmody, with Morning Song, joined us for the first weekend of the evangelistic series we held in Manaus. Thank you, Herb and Steve, for sharing God's great love for us through the spoken word and song.
Even though God did not provide a group from the US, He did provide a group of college age students in Manaus, Brazil, who have formed a team called Caleb. They do weekend ministries around the country. They arrive on Friday, Sabbath they hold health clinics and seminars and Sundays they build something of need. This group came to Novo Airao two weekends in a row and held clinics on Sabbath (the first Sabbath in Novo Airao, the second Sabbath in the interior) and continued building on the Home for Missionaries that Project Amazon 2012 built. They did much needed yard work and prepped and poured the cement floors for the home. Thank you, Team Caleb, for sharing your talents and hard work with Fundacao Agape Amazonas and the people of Novo Airao.
